The IET Yorkshire Annual Golf competition took place on 22 May at the Wetherby Golf Club West Yorkshire, followed by a dinner and prize presentation.
20 members and guests took part on a challenging and immaculately presented golf course in mostly dry conditions after early light showers.
The IET organiser, Jim Hill, once again had worked tirelessly to keep this event going and expressed his gratitude to all who took part and said he was sure that with their help and support in promoting the event, the number of future entries would continue to rise. He also thanked all who had donated raffle prizes and monetary contributions.
After a good hearty meal, Jim presented the IET members trophy the “Woodhouse Cup” to J P Rooney, winner for the second time in three years with a magnificent 44 Stableford Points off a handicap of “15”. The members “Guest” trophy was won by David Latham with 41 points also off a handicap of 15.
The total proceeds raised by the event for the IET Benevolent fund was over £300.
The photographs show some of the competitors on the first tee and later enjoying conviviality and the culinary delights of Wetherby Golf Club.
