Benefits advice

The UK benefits system is very complicated, to help; we provide benefits advice service so you can apply for what you are eligible for.

Contact us to find out how we can help.

IET Connect can give you advice on your eligibility for state benefits such as Job seeker’s Allowance, Carer's Allowance, Personal Independent Payments and Tax Credits.

We are here any time you need information on benefits and we encourage members who have had a change of circumstance such as a redundancy, loss of a partner, or a long-term illness or disability, to get in touch as we can help you maximise your income.

A rough guide to the main benefits available in the UK can be found on our benefit options in the UK page.

We provide a benefits check as standard to anyone we are supporting financially but the benefits checking service is also available to UK members and their immediate families regardless of other support.

If we think that you might be eligible for additional state benefits we can, if needed, try and help you find a local benefits adviser who can sit down in person with you and assist you in completing the application.

Pensions Advisory Service

The Pensions Advisory Service works to make pensions accessible and understandable for everyone. They provide independent and impartial information and guidance about pensions, free of charge, to members of the public.

They help with all pension matters covering workplace, personal and stakeholder schemes and also the State Pension. They answer general questions, help with specific queries and offer guidance for people with complaints about their private pension scheme.
